Sorry, But I'm a LinkedIn Influencer Now
I quit!
I’m leaving my job to become a full-time influencer. LinkedIn influencer. Wanna know why?
Because I just had a LinkedIn post hit 405 impressions and 12 reactions in less than seven hours. Pretty good, huh?
It’s not bad. But definitely not enough to quit my day job to make it big as an influencer.
You won’t see me anytime soon strutting down a red carpet, looking as dashing as James Bond, with a beautiful girl under each of my arms – shouting, “Give me my influencer of the year award! Now!”
That’s not happening. For a few months, at least.
But on a serious note, I’m on LinkedIn for two reasons:
- Share cool data stories
- Meet cool data people
It’s that simple.
I’ve said it countless times on this blog already, but I’m not afraid to say it again. So if you’re a cool data person like me – aka a data dork – hit me up on LinkedIn.
Back to the blog post…
Seeing my post perform well made me think about my other high-performing posts. And I realized they have a few things in common.
They all have at least one of the following:
- Unique project ideas
- Humor and entertainment
- Self-deprecation (people love this)
- Python code (who doesn’t love some clean code?)
You can throw my top LinkedIn posts into four big buckets.
This isn’t the only way to write posts that get impressions/likes/engagements. But it works for me and makes me happy.
So try this out if you want to spice up your data content.
And when it makes you a full-time LinkedIn influencer, don’t forget about this little ole data dork.
