Some HTML/CSS Magic
I'm having too much fun playing with my website.
I've always loved no-code software (like Webflow which I use to build this site) because I don't have to be a tech wizard to build cool things. But it turns out that with a little HTML/CSS code magic, I can design my site in ways I thought only the pros could do.
Look at the below quote which comes from this Morgan Housel article:
A good story is like leverage for ideas. Stories leverage ideas the same way debt leverages assets. A idea on its own might be boring, but if you tell a good story about someone interacting with that idea, you can get people to nod their heads and pay attention.
That’s how a blockquote normally looks on my daily dump page. Clean. Simple. Nothing crazy.
But with my new HTML/CSS knowledge, I can make a blockquote look like this:
The above example is extreme. I would never actually style a paragraph like that. Shame me if I do.
However, it shows the creative power I can attain from picking up new skills. So, it motivates me to continue learning.
